Trapped! Haunted! Enemies Unite! If you love the ” from enemies to survival partners” trope, then get ready to watch “Monster Island” this August on your screens to experience what it’s like to be stuck in a worst situation with your enemy and how to surrender the ego and work together to survive.

The Plot:

The movie takes you on a time travel to an era of World War II (1942), showing the characters of two soldiers, one from Japan and the other from the British, who were once enemies, and the situation left them stuck on a remote island with harsh conditions after the ship was torpedoed. Now both have to survive on the island to protect themselves, not just from harsh eco but also the sea monster Orang Ikan, a mythical sea creature with both human and fish body that is rooted in Southeast Asian folklore as the story progress the conditions become so bad that fear lets the conflicts between them dissolve, to step together in fighting such situations that show how the mythical and real world collide in an unexpected manner. Overall, the movie is a perfect mix of war, thrill, myth, and survival horror to convey the message of trust, belief, and resilience.
