“Allah helps His servant as long as the servant is helping his brother.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)
Recently, the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) initiated a collaboration with Parking Company PJSC, a major public parking operator, to manage 2,100 parking spaces at 59 mosque locations in the city ,as well as provide free parking during prayer times. This step reflects how Dubai values its nation and takes care of its people, which is a cherished act in the eyes of Allah, and it also reflects Islamic teachings.
Free parking During Prayer times:
Free parking during prayer times in Dubai was announced on July 31, 2025. According to this announcement, worshipers will receive free parking outside the mosque for approximately 1 hour during each prayer (Fajr, Dhuhur, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha). Away from this specific time, parking at these places will be available for 24/7 hours. The key importance of this initiative is to give ease and comfort to worshippers, especially during peak times, by alleviating their burden during prayer times. It will also reduce traffic stress and worry-free attendance during prayer times.
The operation will cover 59 mosques, with 41 sites falling under Zone M (standard) and 18 sites falling under Zone MP (Premium). Except for the prayer times,, the M zone will charge AED 4/hr, and the Zone MP will charge AED 6/hr. This operation receives a positive response from people, and many see it as a balance and community-focused initiative
Enforcement:
This step will be launched in August 2025. The free period will begin at the start of prayer and last for one hour after the free time ends , the normal paid parking tariff will be applied.
