Crown Prince Appointed to Lieutenant General Rank:

Recently, on July 29, 2025, Dubai’s Prince Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhammad Al Maktoum was promoted to Lieutenant General in the UAE armed forces.

Prince Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhammad Al Maktoum was born on 14th November 1982. He is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and also holds a degree from the London School of Economics. He has also studied at the Dubai Police Academy. He might be the third King of Dubai, after his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the current King of Dubai.

In July 2024, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhammad Al Maktoum was appointed as the UAE Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister. Recently, Federal Decree No. 93 of 2025 was issued to Your Highness, who was acting as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, promoting him to the rank of Lieutenant General in the UAE Armed Forces.
