4 Big Changes in Dubai This July: Workweek, Holidays & Health Law Updates
This July, four significant modifications are on the horizon that you need to be aware of:
Dubai consistently evolves with some changes, but this July, the City brings some major modifications related to holidays, working weeks, and a new public health law.

Four-day working settings in Dubai:
This July, Dubai announced that there will be four-day working weeks in some public sectors. The change will be implemented as of July 1, 2025, in federal government entities. The schedule for employees’ work will be from Monday to Thursday, and the three public holidays from Friday to Sunday.

Dubai implements new public Health law in late July:
Vice President Sheik Muhammad announces the implementation of the new public health law in Dubai this July. The law was first published on April 23, 2025, and is expected to take effect in late July. According to this facilitated law, the Dubai public health landscape will focus on controlling diseases, educating people about public hygiene, and working on pest control and tobacco control as well. Travelers suspected of having a disease that spreads easily will be quickly quarantined or face travel restrictions.

Summer School holidays announcement for the year 2025:
Swap your kids’ screens and bags to plan what to do during the upcoming summer vacation, whether it’s camping or a holiday abroad. According to KHDA’s official academic Calendar, the summer break for private schools will be from June 30, 2025, to August 25, 202,5 this summer.

Good News for UAE Residents as Armenia allows visa-free visit:
To boost tourism, business, and cultural ties, Armenia announced on May 22, 2025, that it would provide visa-free visits to all UAE residents, as well as residents of other GCC countries, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman. The visitor can stay up to 80 to 190 days. This will take effect on July 1, 2025.
