UAE Launches New Dhs100 Banknote with Enhanced Security & Sustainability

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has officially introduced.

Key Features of the New Banknote:

🔹 Material: Made of polymer, making it more durable and sustainable than traditional notes.
🔹 Front Design: Features Umm Al Quwain National Fort, a cultural and historical landmark.
🔹 Back Design: Showcases the Etihad Rail and Port of Fujairah, key infrastructure projects.
🔹 Security Upgrades: Advanced multi-colored security chip technology to combat counterfeiting.
🔹 Braille Markings: To assist visually impaired users in identifying the note’s value.
🔹 Color: Maintains its iconic pink/red hues for easy public recognition.

If you prefer using cash in the UAE, you might soon receive a brand-new Dhs100 banknote. But don’t worry—it’s not fake! The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has officially released a new polymer Dhs100 note, which is now in circulation as of March 24, 2025.

A Move Toward Sustainability

CBUAE Governor H.E. Khaled Mohamed Balama emphasized that the new Dhs100 note aligns with the UAE’s sustainability vision, supports Net Zero initiatives, and enhances the nation’s financial competitiveness.

This special edition release coincides with the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations, marking another step in the UAE’s financial evolution.
