Dubai Airport set to welcome 3.6 million people over Eid

Dubai Airport Gears Up for One of Its Busiest Eid Seasons

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for a massive influx of travelers this Eid, with an estimated 3.6 million people passing through between March 26 and April 7. The airport will see some of its highest traffic levels of the year, with daily passenger numbers averaging around 276,000.

The peak day is expected to be Saturday, April 5, when a staggering 309,000 travelers are set to move through the terminals. Departures during the Eid break are projected to jump by 19% compared to the past month’s average, making this a particularly busy travel period.

With schools now closed for spring break, many families are taking the opportunity to visit relatives in countries like India, Pakistan, and the UK. Meanwhile, leisure travelers are jetting off to popular destinations like Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Italy.

Whether reuniting with loved ones or exploring new destinations, travelers passing through DXB can expect a lively atmosphere as the airport buzzes with the spirit of Eid celebrations.

Flying from DXB This Eid? Here’s What You Need to Know

Emirates is preparing for one of its busiest travel weekends of the year, with over 80,000 passengers expected to depart in just two days during the Eid break. To meet the soaring demand, the airline is adding 17 extra flights to key Middle Eastern destinations between March 26 and April 6.

If you’re flying from Dubai International Airport (DXB) this Eid, here are a few essential tips to make your journey smoother:

Arrive Early: With record-breaking passenger numbers, expect longer queues at check-in, security, and immigration. Arriving at least three hours before your flight is highly recommended.

Use Online Check-In: Skip the lines by checking in online via the Emirates website or mobile app. You can also drop your bags at dedicated self-service kiosks at DXB.

Plan for Traffic: With Eid celebrations in full swing, roads around the airport could be busier than usual. Allow extra time for your journey, especially if you’re traveling during peak hours.

Be Aware of Baggage Rules: Ensure your luggage meets airline weight and size limits to avoid delays or extra charges. Consider using Home Check-in services for added convenience.

Enjoy the Airport Experience: DXB is offering special Eid-themed experiences, duty-free shopping, and a variety of dining options to make your pre-flight time more enjoyable.

With a little preparation, your Eid travel through Dubai Airport can be smooth and stress-free. Safe travels and Eid Mubarak! ✈️✨
